In addition to funding undergraduate-led projects, the Mellon grant also supports graduate-student and faculty-led projects that include mentoring undergraduates. These grants are an excellent way to get funding for your research while providing guidance and training for a Women's and Gender Studies student. Click the links below to see the requirements for applying and the expectations for mentoring undergraduate students.

Applications should include:
  1. Contact info, including your affiliation with Women's and Gender Studies
  2. Time period being proposed (one or two semesters)
  3. Your research topic or question
  4. Your methodology/research design
  5. How your results will be communicated to the public
  6. Whether or not you are collaborating with a community partner (and if so, details on that partner)
  7. What your undergraduate mentee will contribute to the project and what they will learn from the experience
  8. An itemized budget for the grant funds
  9. A bibliography for any works cited in the proposal
PLEASE NOTE: Faculty projects can be funded at a MAXIMUM per semester of $500/faculty member and $1000/undergraduate. See the requirements link below for more information.
