My name is Flor Adams and I am originally from North Carolina where I completed my Master's in Spanish, focusing on sociolinguistics, at UNC Charlotte. Currently, I am a PhD student here at UGA in Hispanic Linguistics and I teach SPAN 1001/1002/1110.

My research interests include: Post-structuralism and Queer theory, (Decolonial) Critical Discourse Analysis, Raciolinguistics, sociopragmatics, specifically analyzing Transgender and Queer representation in social media and public discourse.
