Linn Normand is Associate Professor of International Affairs (SPIA) and History at the University of Georgia. Her interdisciplinary research sits at the intersections of migration, gender, peace and conflict, and the politics of representation.Her current research examines migrant narratives, oral history and archives, and processes of demonization and humanization in international politics, and participatory approaches to documenting migrant lived experiences.  Normand is the author of Demonization in International Politics: A Barrier to Peace in the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict (Palgrave Macmillan, 2016). Before joining UGA, she held academic positions in Norway, the United Kingdom, and California. Her research and teaching are strongly transnational and interdisciplinary, bringing together perspectives from international relations, history, migration studies, and peace and conflict studies. She is also involved in international peace and migration education initiatives, including the European Master in Migration and Intercultural Relations (EMMIR) and the Partners in Peace network with the Nobel Peace Center and the National Collegiate Honors Council.
